MPK Steels Expands into Defence and Infrastructure

Jaipur-based MPK Steels, a long-standing player in steel manufacturing, is pivoting from traditional production to a modern engineering-driven enterprise focused on sustainability, automation, and nation-building. The company has automated its Plant A, commissioned a 2 MW captive solar plant in Bikaner, and entered defence and infrastructure segments with specialised products.

Automation Milestone at Plant A

MPK Steels has successfully completed the full automation of Plant A, a key step in its modernisation drive. The upgrade enhances production accuracy, operational efficiency, and reliability, enabling the company to deliver large-scale, high-quality engineering solutions more efficiently. This automation positions MPK Steels to meet growing demand for precision steel components across sectors.

Renewable Energy Initiative

The company has commissioned a 2 MW captive solar power plant in Bikaner, Bajju, currently awaiting government approval. Once operational, it is expected to generate 8,000–9,000 units of electricity daily. The plant aims to reduce dependence on conventional power, lower energy costs, and support environmentally responsible manufacturing. This aligns with global sustainability trends and India's push for self-reliant industrial growth.

These high-strength products are designed for defence structures, military equipment support systems, shipbuilding, and industrial infrastructure. The company is also strengthening its presence in the energy and railway sectors through HT line products for power distribution and electrification projects, supporting metro networks, defence installations, and remote area electrification.

Vision for Future-Ready Engineering

Speaking about the company's future vision, Mr. Manoj Upadhyay, Managing Director of MPK Steels, stated, "We aim to establish MPK Steels as a future-ready engineering company driven by automation, sustainability, and innovation. Our strategy focuses on developing expertise in sectors that not only contribute to India's infrastructure growth but also enhance our global competitiveness."

Strategic Alignment with National Goals

With continued investments in automation, renewable energy, and specialised engineering solutions, MPK Steels is positioning itself as a forward-looking industrial enterprise aligned with India's evolving infrastructure, manufacturing, and defence ambitions. The company's shift from traditional steelmaking to strategic nation-building reflects broader trends in the Indian manufacturing sector towards self-reliance and sustainable growth.
