Ryan Pinto on Tech and Holistic Education at Ryan Group of Schools
Ryan Pinto Highlights Tech and Holistic Education at Ryan Group

Ryan Pinto, CEO of the Ryan Group of Schools, has underscored the critical role of technology and holistic education in reshaping India's educational landscape. Speaking about the ongoing paradigm shift, Pinto highlighted how schools are moving from traditional textbook methods to dynamic, tech-infused ecosystems that prepare students for global workforce demands.

Technology Integration as an Urgent Need

According to Pinto, technology integration is no longer optional but essential for bridging the gap between conventional learning and 21st-century requirements. The Ryan Group has been at the forefront of this transformation, blending cutting-edge innovation with future-ready skills. Schools are now adopting immersive technologies such as Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) to bring subjects like anatomy, history, and space exploration to life through 3D simulations.

Robotics and Maker Labs, often supported by the Atal Tinkering Labs initiative, are becoming standard features, enabling hands-on learning in engineering, coding, 3D printing, and design thinking. Artificial Intelligence is increasingly used for personalized learning paths and automating administrative tasks. The broader tech stack includes cloud-based Learning Management Systems (LMS) like Ryan School OS, high-speed broadband, and collaborative platforms that connect students even in smaller towns.

Digital Readiness Reaches All-Time High

The shift toward tech-infused education is backed by measurable data. According to the UDISE+ 2024-25 report from the Ministry of Education, 64.7% of Indian schools now have computer access, up from 57.2% the previous year. Internet connectivity has surged to 63.5% of institutions (from 53.9%), while electricity access stands at approximately 93.7%. A 2024 K-12 Techno Services All India Parent Survey further revealed that 87% of parents view technology as essential for their children's life-skill development.

Reflecting on these statistics, Ryan Pinto said: "These statistics are not just numbers on a page but represent a fundamental rewriting of the Indian educational DNA." He added: "While infrastructure like high-speed internet and hardware is the essential 'skeleton' of a modern school, the true soul of this transformation lies in how we leverage these tools to foster empathy, ethics, and critical thinking."

Balancing Technology with Human Touch

Pinto cautioned that technology must remain an enabler, not a replacement for human interaction. "As we integrate AI and immersive simulations, our focus must shift from 'content delivery' to 'character building,' ensuring that students do not just become technically proficient, but also socially responsible leaders," he said. The ultimate goal, according to Pinto, is to create an equitable landscape where a child in a remote village has the same opportunities as a student in a metropolitan hub, turning the "digital divide" into a "digital bridge."

The Ryan Group of Schools continues to lead by example, demonstrating how holistic education combined with technology can prepare Indian learners for a globalized future. This vision aligns with national initiatives and reflects a broader commitment to democratizing quality education across the country.
