Central Railway Announces Special Trains for Nagpur to Manage Passenger Surge

In response to a significant increase in passenger traffic, Central Railway has unveiled plans to operate two special trains connecting Nagpur with Pune and Mumbai. These services are being introduced under the Train on Demand (TOD @1.3) scheme, designed to provide flexible and additional rail options during peak travel periods. Bookings for these trains are set to commence from today, March 24, offering commuters enhanced connectivity and convenience.

Detailed Schedule and Timings for the Special Trains

The railway authority has released specific schedules to ensure smooth operations. The first train, Train 01021, will depart from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) in Mumbai at 12:55 AM on April 3 and is scheduled to arrive at Nagpur at 3:45 PM on the same day. For the return journey, Train 01022 will leave Nagpur at 8:00 PM on April 4, reaching LTT in Mumbai at 11:45 AM the following day.

Additionally, the second set of trains will facilitate travel between Pune and Nagpur. Train 01467 is slated to depart from Pune at 3:50 PM on April 3, with an arrival time in Nagpur at 6:30 AM the next day. The corresponding return service, Train 01468, will commence from Nagpur at 8:00 AM on April 4 and is expected to reach Pune at 11:30 PM on the same day.
