The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has registered a disproportionate assets case against a General Manager of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB) and conducted simultaneous searches at eight locations across the state, including his residence in the Mallapur area of Hyderabad.
Accused and Searches
The accused officer has been identified as SAL Kumar. ACB teams initiated the searches early Tuesday at Kumar's G+3 house in Mallapur, as well as six other locations, including his office, the residences of friends and relatives in Hyderabad, and his farmhouse in Nizamabad.
Seizures and Ongoing Operations
During the searches, ACB teams unearthed Rs 1.05 crore in cash and over 50 tola of gold. The searches are still continuing, and further details are awaited as the investigation progresses.
