GCCI Supports PM Modi's 7-Point Economic Plan

The Gujarat Chamber of Commerce & Industry (GCCI) has announced its full support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s seven-point national appeal, which is designed to enhance India’s economic resilience, self-reliance, and sustainable growth in the face of global economic uncertainty and geopolitical challenges.

Call for Nation-First Approach

GCCI has called upon industries, businesses, and citizens to embrace a “nation first” approach, aligning with national development priorities and reducing dependence on external factors. The chamber has urged trade bodies throughout Gujarat to actively implement the seven measures outlined in the appeal.

Key Measures Highlighted

The seven measures include reducing fuel consumption, promoting public transport, encouraging carpooling, adopting virtual meetings and hybrid work models, avoiding non-essential international travel, prioritizing Indian-made products and domestic manufacturing, and promoting sustainable natural farming with lower reliance on chemical fertilizers.

GCCI President Sandeep Engineer stated, “This appeal is a roadmap for a resilient, self-reliant, and economically stronger India.” He emphasized that the chamber will mobilize Gujarat’s industrial and business community to ensure responsible economic participation and the adoption of sustainable operational practices.

The chamber’s initiative aims to foster a collective effort toward national economic strength, urging all stakeholders to contribute actively to the country’s growth and stability.
