Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal declared that India's remarkable economic performance, including an 8.2% growth in GDP recorded in the last quarter, stems directly from the policies implemented by the central government. The minister made these statements during his visit to Vadodara on Saturday.
Leadership Driving Economic Success
Goyal emphatically credited this substantial growth rate to the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He explained that the manner in which the Prime Minister has steered the economy forward and systematically strengthened it has made this achievement possible. The minister also highlighted that the global reputation meticulously built by PM Modi has significantly contributed to the country's economic advancement.
India Defies Global Predictions
While addressing mediapersons, Minister Goyal proudly stated that India continues to hold its position as the fastest-growing economy in the world. He pointed out that even prominent international organizations like the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank had projected a weakening of the Indian economy and predicted a slower pace of growth. However, the latest GDP figures have proven these forecasts wrong.
Goyal expressed strong confidence in the nation's continued economic momentum, asserting that India is moving ahead briskly. He projected an optimistic long-term vision, stating his belief that the country will maintain this growth trajectory for the next two to three decades under the Prime Minister's leadership.
Sardar Patel's Legacy Celebrated
The minister was in Vadodara specifically to participate in the Sardar@150 Unity March. He commended the organizers for their successful efforts in putting together the event. Goyal took the opportunity to stress the enduring importance of following the path shown by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, emphasizing the values of unity and integrity that the Iron Man of India championed.
