State industries minister TG Bharath urged unemployed youth to make optimal use of the job melas, as the government, under the leadership of chief minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, was committed to its promise to create 20 lakh job opportunities during the NDA rule between 2024 and 2029.
Job Mela Launch in Kurnool
Addressing the job seekers after launching the 4th Mega Job Mela at Kurnool on Saturday, TG Bharath stated that Andhra Pradesh is currently attracting 25 percent of the country’s total incoming investments, attributing this momentum directly to the persistent efforts of Naidu. “This influx of capital is poised to place the state at the absolute forefront of national development, besides creating plenty of job opportunities for the local youth,” the minister noted.
Importance of Upskilling
He also addressed the shifting dynamics of the modern workforce, highlighting that the current generation must continuously upskill to remain competitive, even amid advancements in artificial intelligence.
Job Openings and Advice
For the current drive, 19 prominent companies turned up with nearly 1,500 openings. Bharath strongly advised job seekers to prove their mettle, accept the offers immediately, and commit to their roles for a few years, noting that sustained industry exposure is essential for long-term career clarity and growth. He assured that ample opportunities are on the horizon, particularly within the Kurnool district.
Industrial Development in Kurnool
Major corporations, including Reliance and Agusta, alongside green hydrogen, solar, and wind energy projects, have already commenced ground operations at the Orvakal Industrial Hub. “This industrial push, coupled with the expansion of Jayaraj Ispat and the establishment of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises across all districts, is designed to unlock a vast employment market for skilled local youth,” TG Bharath asserted.
