BHU Agricultural Institute to Host Major Farmers' Fair and Workshop in Varanasi
The Institute of Agricultural Sciences at Banaras Hindu University (BHU) is set to organize a comprehensive Farmers' Fair-cum-Agricultural Industry exhibition and workshop on March 7 and 8. This significant event will be held under the theme ‘Viksit Krishi- Samarth Bharat’, which translates to ‘Developed Agriculture- Empowered India’.
Event Details and Objectives
The two-day program aims to bridge the gap between agricultural research and practical farming by disseminating modern technologies and scientific information. According to the institute's director, Uday Pratap Singh, the fair is designed to benefit a wide audience including farmers, entrepreneurs, extension workers, and students. He emphasized that the event will provide a platform for showcasing and distributing quality seeds, planting materials, fertilizers, bio-fertilizers, agricultural machinery, and other essential inputs, along with expert technical guidance.
