Boiler Explosion Kills Two Workers in Udaipur Factory

A tragic boiler explosion at a factory in the RIICO Industrial Area in Udaipur claimed the lives of two workers on Thursday. The incident triggered immediate protests at the MB Hospital mortuary, where demonstrators demanded compensation for the victims' families.

Victims Identified

The deceased were identified as Bhanwar Singh Jhala and Madhu Lal Gameti, both residents of Badundiya village in Gogunda. According to police reports, the blast occurred while work was underway at the factory, causing panic among workers. Gameti died on the spot, while Jhala succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital.

Protests and Demands

Following the incident, members of the Rajput Samaj and Bhil Samaj gathered at the mortuary, demanding justice for the families. Relatives alleged that the factory owner fled the scene immediately after the accident. Personnel from Pratapnagar police station shifted the injured workers to the hospital.

Karni Sena Leads Protest

On Thursday, members of Karni Sena and other groups staged a protest at MB Hospital, raising slogans. Karni Sena leader Arjun Singh Chundawat stated that the post-mortem would not be conducted until compensation was announced. Later, protesters held talks with DSP Suryaveer Singh Rathod and SHO Puran Singh Rajpurohit. Police assured that legal action would be taken as per rules.
