BPCL Confirms Robust Fuel and LPG Supply Across Karnataka Amid Global Unrest

In a significant announcement aimed at reassuring consumers, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) has declared that its extensive network in Karnataka is fully operational and well-stocked with essential fuels and cooking gas. The corporation emphasized that all petrol, diesel, CNG, and domestic LPG supplies are readily available, with no disruptions anticipated despite ongoing international conflicts.

Official Statement Urges Calm and Discourages Panic Buying

The company assured citizens that there is no need for concern or panic buying, as their supply chain operations remain robust and efficient. An official from BPCL reiterated this message, urging customers to remain calm. "We urge all customers to remain calm. District Authorities Issue Stern Warnings Against Black Marketing

In response to heightened public anxiety, district authorities in Kalaburagi have taken proactive measures to prevent exploitation. Kalaburagi DC B Fauzia Tarannuma presided over a meeting of the district-level monitoring committee, which included officers from major oil companies like IOCL, HPCL, and BPCL. During the meeting, she issued a strict warning against black marketing of LPG cylinders.

DC Tarannuma emphasized that gas agencies must adhere to safety protocols without any lapses. She mandated that cylinders be supplied on a FIFO (first-in, first-out) basis to ensure fairness and order. In cases of unauthorized filling or black market sales, agencies risk severe penalties, including licence cancellation and blacklisting under the Essential Commodities Act.

Enhanced Security Measures to Safeguard Supply Chains

To further bolster confidence and security, Kalaburagi City Police Commissioner SD Sharanappa announced that police protection will be provided to agencies and inventory units if necessary. This move aims to prevent any potential disruptions or illegal activities that could compromise the supply of essential commodities.

The combined efforts of BPCL and local authorities highlight a coordinated approach to maintaining stability in Karnataka's energy sector. By addressing both supply assurances and regulatory enforcement, they aim to mitigate public fears and ensure that consumers have access to the fuels and LPG they need without resorting to panic-driven actions.

This development underscores the importance of reliable energy infrastructure in times of global uncertainty, with BPCL and government bodies working in tandem to uphold public trust and safety.
