CII Trichy Zone Hosts MSME District Connect Event in Pudukottai
The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Trichy zone organized a significant MSME district connect event in Pudukottai on Thursday. This gathering served as a comprehensive platform to raise awareness about the Zero Defect, Zero Effect (ZED) certification and various government support schemes designed to bolster micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

During the event, a key revelation was made regarding the Pradhan Mantri MUDRA Yojana. It was disclosed that loans amounting to a staggering ₹1,200 crore have been disbursed within the Pudukottai district alone since the scheme's inception in 2015. Organizers emphasized that this substantial figure underscores the robust financial backing readily available to support and empower local businesses in the region.
Focus on Ecosystem Strengthening and Quality
The primary objective of the event was to fortify the MSME ecosystem across nearby districts. This was to be achieved through enhanced professional networking and strategies for scaling existing businesses. Further elaborating on the event's goals, Sundaram, Convenor of the districts' impact panel for Pudukottai, explained the critical need for developing a cohesive regional industrial ecosystem.
