CPHI India, PMEC India Expand to Two Venues in Delhi-NCR

CPHI India and PMEC India, two major pharmaceutical industry expos, will be hosted across two venues in Delhi-NCR this year, marking an expansion driven by the rapid growth of India's pharma ecosystem, according to the organizers.

Expansion Details

Organized by Informa Markets in India, the 19th edition of the event will be split between two venues with partially overlapping schedules to facilitate greater business engagement and specialized networking opportunities. CPHI India will take place from November 23 to 25 at Yashobhoomi, while PMEC India will be held from November 24 to 26 at India Expo Mart. The four-day engagement window is designed to provide stakeholders with more flexibility and create expanded opportunities for collaboration across the pharmaceutical value chain.

Industry Feedback

Yogesh Mudras, Managing Director of Informa Markets in India, stated: "The decision to expand CPHI and PMEC India into a two-venue format was driven by research and clear industry feedback. Visitors needed more time, exhibitors needed more space, and both were seeking deeper, more effective engagement. By removing size constraints and creating focused, specialized platforms, we are enabling innovation across the entire pharmaceutical value chain."

The separation of ingredients and formulations from machinery and manufacturing technologies will allow participants to connect more directly with targeted partners, buyers, and solution providers. India already supplies over 20% of global generic medicines and is rapidly expanding its footprint in advanced therapies, biotechnology, and contract manufacturing. As global regulatory expectations rise and supply chains become more interconnected, high-quality, specialized engagement is no longer optional but critical, the organizers emphasized.

Focus Areas

CPHI India will focus on pharmaceutical ingredients, APIs, formulations, and associated services, catering to API and excipient manufacturers, finished dosage producers, CROs, CDMOs, and biotech firms. PMEC India will serve as a dedicated platform for pharmaceutical machinery, processing, packaging, laboratory equipment, automation, and AI-led manufacturing technologies, aligning with the "Make in India" vision.

Rahul Deshpande, Senior Group Director at Informa Markets in India, noted that the expansion would strengthen the pharmaceutical ecosystem by giving both platforms "the focus and scale they need to grow, while remaining part of one integrated value-chain platform."
