Dassault Aviation Forges Strategic Partnership with Indian Firm for Rafale Components
In a significant development for India's aerospace and defence sector, French major Dassault Aviation has awarded a substantial long-term contract to Bengaluru-based Hical Technologies. The agreement focuses on the manufacturing of mission-critical products for the advanced control systems of Rafale fighter aircraft.
Strengthening Global Aerospace Ties
Hical Technologies confirmed in an official statement that it will deliver high-precision components under the contract, adhering to Dassault Aviation's rigorous engineering, qualification, and reliability standards. This partnership underscores a shared commitment to excellence in defence technology.
Bruno Coiffier, Senior Executive Vice-President of Procurement and Purchasing at Dassault Aviation, emphasized the alignment of values, stating, "Hical Technologies has demonstrated a strong commitment to quality and reliability — values that strongly align with Dassault Aviation's heritage of excellence."
A Milestone for Indian Manufacturing
Yashas Jaiveer, Managing Director of Hical Technologies, highlighted the achievement as a testament to years of dedicated effort. "This milestone is a testament to the years of engineering investment, precision manufacturing discipline, and quality culture that our teams at Hical have built," he remarked.
The contract arrives at a pivotal moment, coinciding with India's ongoing negotiations to finalize a massive deal for 114 Dassault Rafale fighter jets from France. Valued at over Rs 3.25 lakh crore, this procurement aims to modernize the Indian Air Force by replacing ageing squadrons and enhancing operational strength.
Positioning India on the Global Stage
Hical Technologies noted that its inclusion in the prestigious Rafale program elevates India's status as a strategic contributor to one of the world's most operationally active fighter aircraft platforms. This development reinforces the country's growing influence in the global aerospace and defence value chain.
Jaiveer expressed pride in the recognition, stating, "Being entrusted with critical products for the Rafale, one of the most sophisticated fighter aircraft in the world, is a recognition that Indian aerospace manufacturing has arrived on the global stage. We are proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with Dassault Aviation and contribute to a platform that symbolises excellence in defence technology."
This partnership not only boosts India's defence manufacturing capabilities but also sets a precedent for future international collaborations in high-tech sectors.
