FORTI backs PM Modi's economic push for local goods

In response to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent economic suggestions aimed at maintaining stability in the country’s economy amid the ongoing global crisis, the Federation of Rajasthan Trade and Industry (FORTI) held a review meeting in Jaipur. During the meeting, FORTI president Suresh Agarwal stated that members of the industry body would intensify efforts to encourage indigenous production and promote the use of locally manufactured goods.

Key Decisions to Support Domestic Economy

The organisation also decided that its members, including industrialists and traders, would encourage vehicle sharing among employees at factories and business establishments to reduce fuel consumption. This initiative aims to lower operational costs and contribute to environmental sustainability.

Furthermore, FORTI appealed to its members to organise family wedding ceremonies and corporate meetings only at tourist destinations within India. This step is intended to support domestic tourism and strengthen the national economy by keeping spending within the country.
