Greater Noida Opens Labour Facilitation Centre in Ecotech-3

Greater Noida Inaugurates Shramik Suvidha Kendra to Boost Industrial Employment

The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) has officially launched a Shramik Suvidha Kendra, or Labour Facilitation Centre, in the Ecotech-3 sector. This innovative facility is designed to bridge the gap between skilled workers seeking employment and industrial units in need of reliable labour. By providing a centralized platform, it aims to simplify the hiring process and foster economic growth in the region.

Facility Details and Infrastructure

Constructed near the water tank at Udyog Kendra-II in Sector Ecotech-3, this centre marks Greater Noida's first such initiative. Developed by the Project Department's Work Circle-3, it was completed in just four months at a cost of Rs 10 lakh. The facility boasts comprehensive amenities, including separate rooms for male and female skilled workers, along with toilets and a kitchen, ensuring a comfortable environment for all users.

Operational Mechanism and Benefits

At the Shramik Suvidha Kendra, skilled workers can register themselves, while factory operators can visit to hire labour based on specific requirements. According to Additional CEO Sumit Yadav, the centre will maintain two registers: one listing the names and contact details of labourers, and another detailing the needs of entrepreneurs, such as the nature of work and number of workers required. This system enables efficient matching and hiring.

The Industrial Business Association (IBA) will operate the centre and disseminate information among workers. Amit Upadhyaya, President of IBA, highlighted that this platform will streamline recruitment by reducing time and costs, ensuring verified worker records, and improving transparency. It is expected to generate steady employment opportunities and help industries quickly meet their workforce demands in Greater Noida.

Official Inauguration and Statements

Dadri MLA Tejpal Nagar inaugurated the facility, emphasizing its dual purpose. He stated, "Skilled workers are essential for running industries, and labourers need employment. This centre will fulfil both needs by connecting job seekers with employers in a structured manner." The initiative reflects a proactive approach to addressing labour shortages and enhancing industrial productivity in the area.

Overall, the Shramik Suvidha Kendra represents a significant step towards formalizing the labour market in Greater Noida, promoting job security, and supporting local industries through a verified and transparent hiring process.
