Haryana Announces Major Fruit Processing Plant in Sirsa District
Haryana's Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare Minister Shyam Singh Rana has made a significant announcement. He revealed plans for a modern kinnow juice processing plant in Sirsa district. This project represents a collaborative effort between two key state entities.
Joint Venture and Processing Capacity
The Haryana Agro Industries Corporation will partner with the Haryana Dairy Development Cooperative Federation, known as Vita. Together, they will establish this new facility under a Public-Private Partnership model. The plant will boast an impressive annual processing capacity of approximately 22,000 metric tonnes.
This initiative aims to transform local fruit processing capabilities. While kinnow serves as the primary focus, the plant will also handle other fruits. Guava and pomegranate are specifically mentioned for processing at this modern facility.
Branding and Marketing Strategy
All processed products from the plant will carry the Vita brand name. The packaging and marketing will be managed under this established brand. This approach ensures consistent quality and brand recognition in the marketplace.
The finished products will reach consumers through specific retail channels. Harhith stores and Vita outlets will serve as primary distribution points. This strategy directly connects farmers' produce with consumers.

Looking ahead, the government has ambitious expansion plans. Officials aim to increase the annual establishment rate to 500-600 stores. This expansion will create a more extensive distribution network for Haryana's agricultural products.
