Protest Details

Around 9:30 am, employees began demonstrating for higher wages and raised slogans against the management. Despite efforts by the management to pacify the workers, the unrest persisted until a substantial police force arrived and convinced them to disperse.

Police Response

Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) SM Qasim Abidi confirmed that the demand for a salary hike was made at the two factories located in the Jhunjhunwala compound. He stated, "We have explained the situation to the workers, and they have temporarily agreed."
