Design and Heritage Inspiration
This special edition is inspired by the iconic 1965 Monte Carlo Rally-winning Mini Cooper S, famously driven by Timo Mäkinen and Paul Easter. Only a few units have been allocated for India, enhancing its exclusivity. The exterior is finished in a vibrant Chilli Red with a distinctive white stripe running across the bonnet, roof, and rear. It features '52' side graphics and a '1965' badge on the C-pillar, paying homage to its racing legacy. Additional design elements include a black panoramic roof, 18-inch JCW Lap Spoke two-tone alloy wheels, and advanced LED lighting with selectable signature modes and animated features.
Interior and Technology Features
Inside, the cabin adopts a minimalistic layout with a strong focus on digital controls and sustainable materials. It is equipped with JCW sport seats upholstered in Vescin Black, a JCW steering wheel with paddle shifters, and subtle '1965' detailing. The dashboard and door panels use high-quality textile surfaces, complemented by ambient lighting and projection elements for a modern ambiance. Technology highlights include a circular OLED touchscreen running the MINI Operating System 9, voice control, a head-up display, a Harman Kardon audio system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, integrated navigation, remote services, and a digital key for enhanced convenience.
Performance and Safety Specifications
Powering the Mini Cooper S Victory Edition is a robust 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that delivers 204 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. This setup enables impressive performance, with a 0-100 kph acceleration time of 6.6 seconds and a top speed of 242 kph. The car also features adaptive suspension and JCW sport brakes for superior handling and stopping power. Other notable features include multiple drive modes, a toggle-based control interface, wireless charging, cruise control, and parking assist systems. Safety is prioritized with equipment such as airbags, ABS, dynamic stability control, and a rear-view camera.
This launch underscores Mini India's commitment to offering unique, performance-oriented vehicles that blend heritage with cutting-edge technology, catering to the discerning Indian automotive enthusiast.
