According to the latest official data released by authorities, there are currently as many as 49,565 electric vehicles registered and operating on the roads of Nagpur district. The deployment of charging stations has been strategically planned to cover both urban and rural regions of Nagpur district. In the urban areas, Mahal leads the way with an impressive 84 stations, followed closely by Congress Nagar with 66 stations, Civil Lines with 45 stations, Butibori with 40 stations, and Gandhibagh with 17 stations. This urban concentration ensures that densely populated zones have ample charging options to support daily commutes and local travel.
In the rural belt, the infrastructure is also being developed to cater to EV users outside the city core. Mouda boasts 26 charging stations, Saoner has 16 stations, Katol features 7 stations, and Umred is equipped with 6 stations. This balanced approach guarantees that rural residents and travelers have access to essential charging services, thereby fostering inclusive growth in electric mobility across the entire district.
