Punjab Minister Sanjeev Arora Inspects Cremica Food Processing Plant in Patiala

In a significant development for Punjab's industrial landscape, Sanjeev Arora, the state's Minister for Industries and Commerce, conducted an official visit to the Bector's Food Specialities Limited plant, popularly known as Cremica Food Processing, on Saturday. The facility is located in Gobindgarh village, Kami Kalan, near Ghanaur within the Patiala district.

Minister Reviews Operations and Applauds Standards

During his tour, Minister Arora meticulously reviewed the plant's maintenance protocols, cleanliness measures, and food processing operations. He expressed high appreciation for the facility's adherence to quality standards, stating that having such a state-of-the-art food processing plant in Punjab is a source of immense pride for the region.

"Punjab offers a conducive environment and immense potential for the food processing industry," Arora remarked. He emphasized that this sector is a key thrust area in Punjab's new industrial policy. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the state government has placed special emphasis on promoting food processing to boost economic growth.

Pro-Industry Policies Attract Investment

The minister highlighted that over the past four years, the Punjab government's pro-industry policies have transformed the state into an attractive destination for investors. "These initiatives have created a favorable ecosystem for industrial expansion," he added, underscoring the government's commitment to fostering business-friendly regulations.

Anoop Bector, Managing Director of Bector's Food Specialities Limited, provided a detailed briefing to Minister Arora about the plant's operations. Bector acknowledged that the industrial policy introduced by the Punjab government under CM Mann's leadership has been instrumental in encouraging industrial growth across the state.

Significant Investment Commitments and Employment Generation

Bector revealed that during a recent investors' summit organized by the Punjab government, a commitment of additional investment worth Rs 350 crore was secured. This substantial financial influx is expected to further bolster the state's industrial capabilities.

Minister Arora lauded Anoop Bector as a successful entrepreneur who is not only reinvesting in Punjab but also making significant contributions to generating employment opportunities for the youth. "Such investments are crucial for creating jobs and driving economic development," Arora stated, reinforcing the government's focus on youth empowerment through industrial initiatives.
