A young daily-wage worker died in a horrific industrial accident at a sugar factory in Belagavi district on Monday. The tragic incident occurred at the Hiranyakeshi Sugar Factory located in Sankeshwar town of Hukkeri taluk.
Victim Identified as New Employee
The deceased worker has been identified as Sachin Yamananni. He had joined the factory as a daily laborer barely ten days before the fatal accident. Sachin was reportedly loading lime into the crusher unit when the tragedy struck.
Details of the Fatal Incident
According to preliminary information, Sachin lost his balance while working near the crusher machinery. He fell directly into the moving conveyor belt of the crusher unit. The powerful machinery caused him severe and fatal injuries on the spot.
Co-workers who witnessed the accident immediately rushed to help him. They managed to halt the machinery quickly, but it was too late to save Sachin's life. The young worker succumbed to his injuries before any medical help could reach him.
