CM Yogi Adityanath Warns Against External Interference in Factory Operations
In Lucknow on Tuesday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath emphasized that external elements must not be permitted to interfere in the day-to-day operations of factories, as such actions could disrupt industrial harmony and hinder progress. Addressing workers and officers at the Tata Motors plant, he indirectly referenced recent workers' protests in Noida, stating, "We must ensure that no outside elements are allowed to interfere in the internal matters of our factories or groups under any circumstances." He added a poignant observation: "Bigaadne wale bahut aaenge, banaane wale kam milenge" (those who disrupt are many, but those who build are rare).
Tata Motors Celebrates Production of 10 Lakhth Commercial Vehicle
The Chief Minister was at the Tata Motors manufacturing facility on Dewa Road to flag off the 10 lakhth commercial vehicle produced at the plant since its establishment in 1992. The event was attended by Tata Sons Ltd Chairman N Chandrasekaran and Tata Motors Managing Director Girish Wagh, among other dignitaries. Yogi described this milestone as historic, noting that it strengthens Uttar Pradesh's position as a leading manufacturing hub in India.
During his visit, Yogi took a brief tour of the 600-acre facility on an electric bus, which he later unveiled. This electric bus, with a range of 200 km, is set to be handed over to Air India, another Tata Group company, for operational use. He praised Tata Group for fostering a family-like relationship with its employees and upholding the legacy of its founders, urging workers to continue working sincerely for their personal progress and the company's growth.
Emphasis on Skill Development and Infrastructure Improvements
Yogi highlighted the importance of skill development for Uttar Pradesh's youth, stating, "All we have to do is provide the right skill set to the 14 crore youths to accelerate UP's growth." He compared the state's development to momentum in physics, explaining that with a population of 25 crore providing mass, the double-engine government offers velocity to drive progress.
Reflecting on past challenges, the Chief Minister recalled that nine years ago, the state faced issues such as poor road conditions, identity crises, weak law and order, and connectivity problems that deterred investors. He proudly listed current achievements, including 16 operational airports, metro services in six cities, the largest network of expressways, and improved roads across Uttar Pradesh.
Commitment to Clean Energy and Teamwork
The CM also commended Tata Motors for transitioning towards cleaner technologies, such as CNG and electric vehicles, and for efforts in renewable energy use and water conservation. He emphasized that strengthening public transport with electric vehicles could help bridge last-mile connectivity gaps and contribute to achieving net-zero emission targets.
Yogi stressed the role of trust and integrity in economic growth, praising organizations like Tata Group for their contributions to social progress. The plant currently provides direct employment to 5,659 individuals, and he encouraged employees to work with honesty and commitment for long-term success.
