The Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) convened a crucial meeting of its land and property disposal committee on Tuesday, marking a significant step forward in urban planning and infrastructure development for the Pink City. During this session, several pivotal proposals concerning land allocation were given the green light, underscoring JDA's commitment to enhancing public amenities and transportation networks.
Major Boost for Jaipur Metro Phase-1C
In a landmark decision, the committee approved the utilization of 7,700 square metres of land specifically for the Jaipur Metro Phase-1C project. This new metro corridor is set to connect Badi Chaupar to Transport Nagar, passing through the historic Galta Gate, thereby improving connectivity and easing traffic congestion in these bustling areas.
Land Exchange with Forest Department
As part of the alignment for Metro Phase-1C, land belonging to the forest department will be utilized. To compensate for this, the JDA has agreed to allot equivalent land to the forest department. Under this mutually beneficial arrangement, a substantial 2.01 hectares of land located in Daulatpura revenue village, within Amer tehsil, will be officially allotted to the forest department. This exchange ensures that environmental considerations are balanced with urban development needs.
Approval for Government Primary School
Beyond metro infrastructure, the committee also focused on educational facilities. It approved the allocation of 2,000 square metres of land for the construction of a government primary school building in a village in Chaksu. This move aims to bolster educational infrastructure in rural areas, providing better learning environments for young students and supporting community development.
The approvals from this meeting highlight JDA's proactive approach in addressing both urban and rural development challenges. By facilitating key projects like the metro expansion and school construction, the authority is playing a vital role in shaping Jaipur's future growth and improving the quality of life for its residents.
