LDA Grants Four-Day Extension for Anant Nagar Plot Registrations
The Lucknow Development Authority has extended the online registration deadline for its Anant Nagar housing scheme. Applicants now have until January 16 to register for 637 residential plots. LDA vice-chairperson Prathamesh Kumar announced this four-day extension on Tuesday.
Kumar explained the decision clearly. "The extension was given in view of public interest," he stated. He also mentioned that registrations for other upcoming LDA schemes would be announced soon.
Strong Public Response Drives Deadline Extension
The authority received a strong public response to the current registration phase. This prompted the deadline extension. Registrations opened on December 20. Since then, 5,790 people have already applied for the available plots.
This phase includes plots in two specific blocks:
- 617 plots in the Akash block
- 20 plots in the Adarsh block
The plots come in five distinct size categories:
- 41 plots measuring 450 square metres
- 224 plots measuring 288 square metres
- 225 plots measuring 200 square metres
- 90 plots measuring 162 square metres
- 57 plots measuring 112.5 square metres
Anant Nagar Township Development Details
The Anant Nagar township is developing on Mohan Road. It spans a massive 785 acres. The development features a grid-based layout for easy navigation. Wide roads and underground power lines are key infrastructure elements.
Green spaces receive significant attention in the planning. Around 130 acres are specifically earmarked for parks and green areas. The scheme also includes plans for a dedicated Edutech City within its boundaries.
Previous Phases Show Consistent High Demand
Previous phases of this housing scheme demonstrated similar high demand. The LDA allotted 666 plots through a lottery system in the first two phases. Those earlier phases attracted over 22,000 applicants, showing strong public interest in LDA developments.
The current extension provides additional time for potential applicants. It reflects the authority's responsiveness to public demand. Interested individuals should complete their online registrations before the new January 16 deadline.
