The twin cities of Hubballi and Dharwad in North Karnataka witnessed a significant boost to the local property market with the grand inauguration of the three-day 'Recon Expo-2026'. The large-scale real estate exhibition, organized by the Credai Hubballi-Dharwad unit, kicked off on Friday at the grounds opposite Deshpande Startups near Gokul Road Airport.
A Star-Studded Inauguration Ceremony
The event was formally inaugurated by former chief minister and current Belagavi MP, Jagadish Shettar, alongside popular Kannada actress Rachita Ram. The ceremony also saw the presence of Huda chairman Shakir Sanadi and other dignitaries, marking a major moment for the region's infrastructure and housing sector.
In his address, Shettar highlighted the expo as a golden opportunity for citizens. He emphasized that the event brings everything required for a dream home under one roof. "From purchasing a plot to constructing the house and even finding furniture for home décor, all quality materials are showcased here," he stated. Shettar urged people to take advantage of what he called the largest property expo in North Karnataka.
Boosting Local Real Estate Development
Shakir Sanadi, President of Huda, expressed his enthusiasm for the expansion of such expos beyond Bengaluru. He noted that Credai's initiative to organize this event in Hubballi would significantly boost the real estate industry in the Hubballi-Dharwad region. "Huda will always stand with Credai for such good initiatives," Sanadi assured, highlighting the collaborative effort to showcase plots, flats, commercial spaces, new construction materials, and modern interior designs.
The scale of the expo is noteworthy. Gururaj Annigeri, President of Credai Hubballi-Dharwad, revealed that in collaboration with Yash Events, the expo features over 150 stalls spread across an area of 1 lakh square feet. The exhibition has attracted builders and consultants not only from North Karnataka but also from major cities like Bengaluru, Mysuru, and Davanagere.
Special Features and Widespread Participation
A special highlight of the expo is the participation of a Dubai-based company, indicating its growing prominence. Annigeri also mentioned that the long-held desire to organize a property expo in the region has finally been realized. To facilitate visitors, nationalised banks have set up stalls at the venue to provide on-the-spot loan facilities, making dream home purchases more accessible.
The inaugural event was attended by several key figures from Credai, including state president Pradeep Raikar, Hubballi-Dharwad chairperson Sanjay Kothari, president-elect Amrut Mehrwade, secretary Satish Munavalli, and officials Suraj Alavandi and Ismail Sanshi. Former MP Prof IG Sanadi was also present, underscoring the event's importance.
The Recon Expo-2026 is set to run for three days, directly aiming to bridge the gap between customers and construction companies. It serves as a comprehensive platform for anyone looking to invest in plots, apartments, farmhouses, or explore the latest in construction technology and interior design, all within the burgeoning market of North Karnataka.
