Bhubaneswar: Defence technology startup IG Defence announced on Friday that it is targeting a Rs 10,000 crore defence order pipeline by the financial year 2030. The company is pursuing opportunities across the Indian Armed Forces, homeland security agencies, strategic government programmes, and overseas defence markets.
Founder and Vision
Founded by Odisha's Bodhisattwa Sanghapriya, IG Defence is developing autonomous strike platforms, AI-enabled warfare systems, counter-unmanned aircraft system technologies, indigenous propulsion systems, and next-generation battlefield solutions. Bodhisattwa stated that the company is establishing an indigenous ecosystem of advanced defence technologies aligned with the changing needs of modern warfare.
"The future of warfare will be defined by autonomy, Artificial Intelligence, precision strike capabilities, advanced propulsion, and indigenous innovation. Our mission is to ensure that India leads this transformation rather than follows it," Bodhisattwa said.
Market Focus and Growth
The startup's pipeline includes contracts with domestic and international clients, aiming to strengthen India's self-reliance in defence manufacturing. IG Defence plans to leverage its R&D capabilities to deliver cutting-edge solutions for contemporary security challenges.
