Jaipur: Chairing a meeting of the Rajasthan State Gas Board, additional chief secretary (Mines & Petroleum) Aparna Arora on Tuesday announced that 60 new CNG stations will be established in the state during the current financial year. The initiative aims to expand the compressed natural gas network and promote cleaner fuel usage across Rajasthan.

Targets and Assurance

Rajasthan State Gas Managing Director Vinay Patni assured that the targets would be met on schedule. He added that GAIL Gas’s experience in operating DPNG-CNG networks will soon be shared with Jaipur’s city gas distribution operators to enhance efficiency and service quality.

Expansion Plans

The new CNG stations are part of a broader push to increase the adoption of natural gas in the state, reducing dependence on traditional fuels and curbing vehicular emissions. The board also reviewed ongoing projects and discussed strategies to expedite the rollout of CNG infrastructure in key urban and rural areas.
