Akasa Air Flight from Pune to Bengaluru Delayed Over 4 Hours Due to Technical Glitch
Akasa Air Pune-Bengaluru Flight Delayed 4+ Hours

Passengers on an Akasa Air flight from Pune to Bengaluru experienced a frustrating delay of more than four hours on Tuesday morning. The holdup occurred because of a technical problem with the aircraft.

Flight Schedule Disrupted

Flight QP1312 was supposed to depart from Pune at 8:50 AM. It should have landed in Bengaluru by 10:30 AM. Boarding happened on time, but the Boeing 737 MAX plane did not take off as planned.

Passengers Left in the Dark

Flyers sat inside the cabin for about one and a half hours. They received no clear information initially. A passenger, who wished to remain anonymous, shared his experience.

"For a long time, no one told us what was going on," he said. "Then we learned about a technical issue and an inspection. Suddenly, we were told to deboard."

He expressed frustration over the lack of communication. "There was no point making flyers sit so long without proper updates. Airlines often do this during delays. They fail to give timely information." The delay caused him to miss an important meeting.

Airline's Response

An Akasa Air spokesperson addressed the situation in the afternoon. The statement confirmed the delay was due to technical reasons.

"Akasa Air flight QP1312 from Pune to Bengaluru on January 13 was delayed because of technical reasons," the spokesperson said. "The aircraft is undergoing inspection. The flight is now scheduled to depart at 1:15 PM."

Affected passengers received options to reschedule on an evening flight. Ground staff and care officers assisted them. The airline apologized for the inconvenience.

Flight Finally Takes Off

The spokesperson confirmed the technical glitch was fixed. The aircraft eventually flew around 1:30 PM. It landed in Bengaluru at 2:31 PM, ending the long delay for weary travelers.
