The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) has given its approval for multiple highway projects valued at approximately Rs 26,000 crore. These initiatives are aimed at enhancing road infrastructure across various regions of the country.

Among the major decisions, the CCEA approved the upgradation of the Khagaria-Purnea Section of National Highway 31 and National Highway 231 to a 4-lane standard. This project, spanning 143.529 kilometers in Bihar, will be executed on a Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) toll basis at a cost of Rs 3,936.05 crore.
