Hubballi Railway Announces Schedule Changes for Maintenance Work
The South Western Railway has announced significant schedule modifications affecting several trains originating from or passing through Hubballi. These changes are a direct result of approved maintenance activities at the Hubballi Yard, necessitating temporary adjustments to ensure passenger safety and operational efficiency.
Approved Line and Power Blocks for Switch Renewal
In connection with essential switch renewal work at Hubballi Yard, the competent railway authorities have sanctioned a line block and power block. This critical infrastructure maintenance is scheduled to impact train services, leading to partial cancellations for specific journeys commencing on January 27. The proactive measure aims to enhance the railway network's reliability and safety standards in the region.
Partial Cancellations for Intercity Express Trains
Due to the ongoing maintenance operations, the following intercity trains will experience partial cancellations:
- Train No. 07330 Vijayapura–Hubballi Intercity Express: This service will be partially cancelled between Gadag and Hubballi. Consequently, the train will be short-terminated at Gadag instead of proceeding to its final destination at Hubballi.
- Train No. 07329 Hubballi–Vijayapura Intercity Express: Similarly, this train will be partially cancelled between Hubballi and Gadag. It will originate from Gadag rather than Hubballi, affecting the initial segment of its journey.
Passengers booked on these routes are advised to plan their travel accordingly and seek alternative arrangements if necessary.
Experimental Stoppage for Hubballi–Dadar Express
In a separate development, the Railway Board has approved an experimental stoppage for the Train No. 17317/17318 Hubballi–Dadar–Hubballi Express at Gokak Road station, which falls under the Hubballi Division. This new stoppage is designed to improve connectivity and convenience for commuters in the area.
The experimental stoppage will be effective for journeys commencing on January 26. The detailed schedule for the Hubballi–Dadar Express trains at Gokak Road is as follows:
- Train No. 17317 Hubballi–Dadar Express: This train will arrive at Gokak Road at 7:41 PM and depart at 7:42 PM.
- Train No. 17318 Dadar–Hubballi Express: This service will arrive at Gokak Road at 6:35 AM and depart at 6:36 AM.
This initiative reflects the railway's commitment to enhancing passenger services and adapting to regional travel demands. The experimental phase will allow authorities to assess the impact and feasibility of this additional stoppage.
