Singapore India Business Forum President Meets Haryana Chief Minister to Discuss Industrial Investment
In a significant development aimed at bolstering economic ties, Prasoon Mukherjee, the president of the Singapore India Business Forum, held a meeting with Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Friday. The discussions centered on enhancing industrial investment in the state, fostering trade cooperation, and exploring opportunities for Singaporean companies to expand their footprint in Haryana.
CM Saini Extends Invitation to Singaporean Investors
During the meeting, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini extended a formal invitation to the Singapore India Business Forum and investors from Singapore, urging them to explore the diverse investment opportunities available in Haryana. Saini emphasized that the Haryana government is continuously striving to promote industrial growth by creating a conducive environment for investors. He highlighted key initiatives, including transparent policies, simplified procedures, and improved infrastructure, which are designed to encourage investments and streamline business operations.
Saini assured full support to investors, stating that those coming to Haryana would face no difficulties and their interests would be fully protected. He further noted that the expansion of industries in the state is expected to generate new employment opportunities and accelerate Haryana's economic growth, contributing to its overall development.
Proposal for Business Centre in Gurugram
The meeting also included discussions on a proposal to establish a business centre of the Singapore India Business Forum in Gurugram. Chief Minister Saini expressed optimism that setting up such a centre would provide Singaporean companies with a robust platform to establish offices and invest in Haryana. This initiative is anticipated to strengthen trade relations between Haryana and Singapore, fostering long-term collaboration in various sectors.
Mukherjee Invites CM Saini to Singapore
In response, Prasoon Mukherjee invited Chief Minister Saini to visit Singapore, underscoring the enthusiasm among investors associated with the Singapore India Business Forum. Mukherjee mentioned that, in collaboration with the Singapore government, these investors are keen to explore investment opportunities in Haryana. He pointed out that there are wide prospects for future cooperation across multiple sectors, indicating a positive outlook for bilateral economic engagement.
Other Key Announcements from Haryana Government
In related developments, Haryana Governor Ashim Kumar Ghosh and Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini jointly released a souvenir for the Sansad Khel Mahotsav, scheduled to be held in the Sirsa Parliamentary Constituency. Rajya Sabha MP Subhash Barala remarked that this event aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's commitment to sports and his vision of providing a larger platform to emerging players. The previous edition of the Sansad Khel Mahotsav took place from September 21 to 25, 2025.
Additionally, Chief Minister Saini addressed agricultural initiatives, directing officers to encourage farmers in Haryana to cultivate medicinal and aromatic plants. This move aims to help farmers earn higher income from limited agricultural land. Saini also emphasized the importance of water conservation by promoting micro-irrigation, as highlighted in the reports released by the Haryana Kisan Kalyan Pradhikaran on medicinal plants and micro-irrigation.
Furthermore, during the budget session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha, CM Saini extended heartfelt congratulations to all successful candidates of the civil services examination, the results of which were declared by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Friday. He praised the youth for their hard work, discipline, and spirit of service to the nation, acknowledging the examination as one of the toughest and most prestigious in the country.
