Most notably, it features an important open web girder bridge across the Parvatikatti River, which comprises 9 spans, each measuring 45.72 meters. This section was identified as one of the important pending links in the doubling project, and its completion marks the final milestone of the Gadag–Hotgi Doubling Project under the South Western Railway.
