The pitch was made during a high-level meeting with a delegation from the US National War College in Hyderabad on Thursday, positioning Telangana as a premier manufacturing and technology hub.

  3. Expanded capabilities in cyber security, artificial intelligence, satellite systems, and advanced communications

Strong Foundation with Global and Domestic Players

Minister Sridhar Babu pointed out that Telangana's rise is supported by a robust ecosystem involving major international firms and public sector institutions. Key players include:

  • Global giants: Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Safran, Airbus, and Dassault Aviation
  • Public sector institutions: DRDO, BHEL, MIDHANI, BDL, RCI, and HAL

Additionally, the state boasts a vibrant network of over 1,500 Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) actively engaged in precision engineering, drones, and defence electronics, further strengthening the industrial base.

Recognition and Cost-Effectiveness

Highlighting Hyderabad's competitive edge, the minister noted that the city was recently ranked as the world's most cost-effective aerospace city in an international survey. This accolade complements Telangana's consistent recognition by the Indian government, having won the 'Best State for Aerospace' award for five consecutive years.

Concluding his address, Minister Sridhar Babu articulated a broader vision for Telangana's role on the global stage.
