In a significant move highlighting its expanding economic ambitions, Uttar Pradesh is set to host two major expos in 2026, aiming to position itself as a premier global hub for trade, industry, and clean energy.

Curtain Raiser for UPITEX 2026 and Announcement of UPEX 2026

The PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI), in collaboration with FirstView Media Group, recently held a curtain raiser event for the fourth Uttar Pradesh International Trade Expo (UPITEX 2026). Simultaneously, they announced that the second Uttar Pradesh Energy Expo (UPEX 2026) will be held from May 7 to 9, 2026.

Detailing the scale of the event, Rajesh Nigam, PHDCCI's UP Co-Chair, stated that UPITEX 2026 is planned to be the state's most extensive display of industrial capability. He emphasized that the upcoming edition is being organized on a much larger scale with the explicit goal of drawing in both domestic and international investors.

Focus on Industrial Strength and Clean Energy Solutions

The two expos are designed to play complementary roles in showcasing Uttar Pradesh's multifaceted growth. While UPITEX will highlight broad industrial strength, UPEX 2026 will have a sharp focus on the energy sector.

Ajay Kumar from UPNEDA highlighted that UPEX 2026 will concentrate on critical areas such as solar power, renewable technologies, and emerging energy solutions. He added that the overarching objective is to position Uttar Pradesh not merely as India's largest market but as a top-choice destination for worldwide investment.

Strengthening Uttar Pradesh's Economic Trajectory

Industry leaders are confident that these events will significantly boost the state's economy. Atul Srivastava from PHDCCI stressed that Uttar Pradesh is undergoing a rapid transformation into one of India's fastest-growing industrial centers.

He further explained that both UPITEX 2026 and UPEX 2026 are expected to forge vital new connections between entrepreneurs, manufacturers, and investors. This networking is anticipated to substantially strengthen the state's economic development path, creating new opportunities and driving further growth.
