A Five-Day Platform for Trade, MSMEs, and Investment

Spanning over five days, the expo serves as a comprehensive platform aimed at promoting various sectors including trade, micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), entrepreneurship, culture, and investment. It brings together a diverse array of stakeholders under one roof, such as policymakers, exporters, artisans, financial institutions, and industry leaders, fostering collaboration and innovation.

The inauguration was led by cabinet minister Rakesh Sachan, who holds portfolios for MSME, Khadi and Village Industries, Silk Industry, Handloom, and Textiles. In his address, he emphasized the critical role of MSMEs in realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of a "Developed India" and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's ambitious goal of achieving a USD 1 trillion economy for Uttar Pradesh.

Minister Sachan highlighted that UPITEX is more than just an exhibition; it provides a meaningful and impactful platform for entrepreneurs and investors to connect and grow. During the event, he announced a new initiative called One District One Cuisine (ODOC), which aims to further promote district-level development by showcasing local culinary traditions alongside economic activities.

Organized by the Uttar Pradesh state chapter of the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) in collaboration with the One District One Product (ODOP) initiative and Invest UP, and supported by the Ministry of MSME, the expo features an impressive lineup of over 400 exhibitors. These exhibitors are showcasing a wide range of indigenous industries, traditional crafts, and modern enterprises, highlighting the state's rich economic diversity.
