The Intermediate Public Advanced Supplementary Examinations (IPASE) for the year 2026 concluded across Andhra Pradesh on Friday, with officials reporting no major incidents or instances of malpractice during the examination period.
Smooth Conduct Under Monitoring
According to P Ranjith Basha, Secretary and Director of the Board of Intermediate Education, the examinations commenced on May 21 and were carried out smoothly under strict monitoring. On the final day, Mr. Basha visited a junior college examination centre in Vijayawada to review the arrangements and interact with officials.
Attendance Figures
On the concluding day, attendance remained above 86% in both examinations conducted. In the second-year mathematics paper, 91,268 out of 1,05,969 registered candidates appeared, recording an attendance rate of 86.13%. For the first-year economics paper, 34,914 out of 40,128 registered candidates took the examination, with attendance at 87.01%.
Valuation and Results Timeline
The board announced that valuation of answer scripts will commence on June 7 at 13 centres across the state. Officials aim to complete the process as early as possible to facilitate students seeking admissions into higher education courses and to enable an early declaration of results.
Warning to Private Colleges
The board also issued a warning to private junior colleges, directing them to immediately relieve lecturers assigned for spot valuation duties. Institutions that fail to send appointed faculty members for valuation work could face suspension of their admissions login facility for the 2026-27 academic year, officials stated.
