Lucknow: Kabir Verma, a neurodivergent autistic student, has emerged as an inspiring example of perseverance and collective support by scoring 65% in the Class X examination. Verma dedicated his success to his teachers and parents, who stood by him through challenges.
Early Struggles and Support
During his childhood, Verma was denied admission by several schools due to his condition. His mother, Meena Rana, a teacher at Spring Dale College in Indira Nagar, enrolled him in the same school. With the support of five dedicated tuition teachers and the school faculty, who handled him with patience, Kabir gradually developed academic discipline and confidence.
Dedicated Preparation
“He dedicated around 10 hours daily to studies during his exam preparation. His never-give-up approach helped him achieve this milestone,” said Meena. Kabir's father, Dr. Kuldeep Verma, added, “Kabir was never less capable; he just needed patience, belief and the right environment. He has a sharp memory and quick grasping ability. He is pursuing science subjects in Class XI.”
Overcoming Adversity
Kabir's journey highlights the importance of a supportive environment and relentless effort. Despite initial rejections, he proved that neurodivergent students can excel with proper guidance. His story serves as an inspiration for families and educators dealing with similar challenges.
