Belagavi and Chikodi educational districts have demonstrated significant improvement in the Karnataka SSLC results for the academic year 2025-2026. Belagavi secured the 18th rank, while Chikodi achieved the 23rd rank in the state-level ranking list. This marks a notable advancement from last year, when Belagavi held the 25th position and Chikodi was placed 26th.
Pass Percentages and Student Performance
In the 2025-2026 SSLC examination, the Belagavi educational district recorded a pass percentage of 94.7%, and the Chikodi educational district achieved a pass rate of 94%. Prarthana Nagappa Biradar from the Chikodi educational district emerged as the state topper by scoring a perfect 625 out of 625 marks.
Out of 30,860 students who appeared for the examination in the Belagavi educational district, 29,241 students passed, resulting in a 94.7% success rate. In the Chikodi educational district, out of 41,500 students, 39,049 passed, achieving a pass rate of 94%.
Top Scorers and Achievers
In the Belagavi educational district, 65 students scored between 615 and 624 out of 625. These students have been recognized as achievers of the district. In the Chikodi educational district, one student scored a perfect 625, while two students who scored 624 out of 625 have also been included in the list of achievers.
Leelavati Hiremath, Deputy Director of the School Education and Literacy Department in Belagavi, stated: "This time, despite many hurdles, we made every effort to prepare students for the exams. The cooperation of teachers, guardians, and parents was obtained to improve academic results. All efforts will be made to implement the projects needed for educational reforms."
Seetaram RS, Deputy Director of the School Education and Literacy Department in Chikodi, mentioned that a new concept called Oduva Mane (reading house) was implemented in the Chikodi educational district. This initiative aimed to create an environment conducive to the growth of rank achievers and has yielded positive results. Efforts were also made to increase student participation in the exams. He expressed satisfaction that the overall result of the Chikodi district has crossed 94% this time.
