Bihar CM Orders Foolproof Security for NEET-UG 2026 Re-exam

Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on Friday instructed all district magistrates and superintendents of police to guarantee foolproof security at examination centres for the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination, scheduled for June 21.

Review Meeting at Sankalp Auditorium

During a review meeting held at the Sankalp Auditorium in Lok Sevak Awas, Choudhary emphasised that the security of question papers, continuous monitoring of examination centres, and strict vigilance against anti-social elements must be ensured under all circumstances. He directed officials to act immediately on any information related to irregularities or malpractice and to take stringent action without any delay.

Briefing by Additional Chief Secretary

Additional Chief Secretary of the General Administration Department, B Rajender, briefed the meeting on the preparations being made for the examination. He stated that the re-examination would be conducted at 331 centres across 35 districts, and inter-departmental coordination was underway to ensure its smooth conduct.

Zero Tolerance for Negligence

During the review, Choudhary warned that no negligence would be tolerated at any examination centre. He directed officials to ensure strict adherence to all prescribed protocols and standards and to complete preparations within the stipulated timeframe. He reiterated that the state government's foremost priority was to provide candidates with a safe, convenient, and well-organised examination environment.

Free Travel and Amenities for Students

To support students appearing for the re-examination, Choudhary announced free travel on all Bihar state-run buses and directed authorities to ensure effective implementation of this facility. He also instructed officials to provide essential amenities at all centres, including safe drinking water, functional toilets, uninterrupted electricity supply, and medical assistance.

Traffic Management and Information System

Emphasising the need for smooth movement on examination day, the Chief Minister directed officials to strengthen traffic management and improve the information system so that candidates and their guardians face minimal inconvenience. He stated that every effort should be made to ensure the safety, comfort, and convenience of students throughout the examination process.
