The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially opened the re-evaluation portal for Class 12 board examinations 2026. Students who are not satisfied with their marks can apply for re-evaluation of their answer sheets. The application process is entirely online through the official CBSE website at cbse.gov.in.
How to Apply for CBSE 12th Re-evaluation 2026
Follow these steps to submit your re-evaluation application:
- Visit the official CBSE website: cbse.gov.in.
- Click on the 'Re-evaluation' link available on the homepage.
- Enter your roll number, date of birth, and other required details.
- Select the subject(s) you wish to get re-evaluated.
- Pay the prescribed fee online through debit card, credit card, or net banking.
- Submit the application and take a printout of the confirmation page for future reference.
Important Dates and Fee Structure
The re-evaluation application window is expected to remain open for a limited period. Students are advised to apply well before the deadline. The fee for re-evaluation is set at Rs. 500 per subject. The fee is non-refundable.
What to Expect After Re-evaluation
Once the re-evaluation process is complete, CBSE will release the revised marksheet. The board will evaluate the answer sheet again, and if there is any change in marks, the new marks will be considered final. The re-evaluation process usually takes 30 to 45 days.
