Udupi: The Udupi district police have implemented comprehensive security measures for the visit of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay to the Mookambika Temple at Kollur on Friday. Udupi Superintendent of Police Hariram Shankar confirmed that the entire bandobast will be managed by the Udupi district police. Additionally, approximately 40 personnel from the Tamil Nadu police, including a Deputy Inspector General and a Superintendent of Police, will form part of the close protection team and assist in security coordination for the Chief Minister.
Security Protocols for Z+ Protectee
As Chief Minister Vijay is a Z+ protectee, all prescribed security measures, including convoy security protocols, will be strictly enforced during his visit. Officials have stated that the Chief Minister has no scheduled public meetings or interactions during this trip. Necessary precautions have been taken, and security rehearsals have already been conducted to ensure a smooth and secure visit.
Devotees Advised to Avoid Temple During Specific Hours
In light of the security arrangements, devotees have been requested to avoid seeking darshan at the temple between 12:00 PM and 5:00 PM to prevent inconvenience. The police urge the public to cooperate and adhere to the guidelines for a hassle-free experience.
