CBSE Class 12 Result 2026 Live Updates: Result Expected Soon

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to declare the Class 12 results for the 2026 academic session by April 30. The board has completed the evaluation process using an on-screen marking system, which ensures uniformity, reduces errors, and speeds up result preparation.

Where and How to Check Results

Students can access their results via multiple platforms. Official websites include results.cbse.nic.in, cbse.gov.in, and cbseresults.nic.in. Additionally, results will be available on DigiLocker, SMS services, and the Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance (UMANG). These alternatives help during heavy website traffic or limited internet access.

Exam Schedule and Next Steps

The CBSE Class 12 examinations were conducted from February 17 to April 10, 2026. Students who fail to clear one or more subjects can appear for compartment exams in July 2026, with results expected in the first week of August.

Marksheet and Passing Criteria

The online result is provisional. Original mark sheets and passing certificates will be issued by schools later. To pass, students must secure at least 33% marks in both theory and practical exams separately wherever applicable. CBSE continues its policy of not releasing a toppers’ list to reduce academic pressure.

Previous Years’ Trends and Statistics

CBSE has maintained a stable pass percentage in recent years: 92.71% in 2022, 87.33% in 2023, 87.98% in 2024, and 88.39% in 2025. Girls have consistently outperformed boys, with higher pass percentages each year. In 2025, girls achieved 91.64%, while boys stood at 85.70%. The Trivandrum region dominated between 2020 and 2024, while Vijayawada recorded the highest pass percentage in 2025.

Around 18.5 lakh students are awaiting the announcement. The evaluation process has been completed using an on-screen marking system, ensuring faster and more accurate results. Students will be able to check scores through official websites, DigiLocker, SMS, and UMANG.

Compartment Exams and Original Marksheets

Students who do not pass one or more subjects will be able to appear for compartment exams in July 2026, with results in early August. Online results are provisional; original mark sheets will be issued later through schools.
