CBSE Revaluation Portal Glitches: Board Denies Issues

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has stated that its revaluation portal remained fully functional throughout the application period, despite numerous complaints from students about glitches and delays. The board claimed that over 1.6 lakh students successfully filed re-evaluation requests between 2 June and 7 June 2026. However, many candidates reported being unable to access scanned answer sheets or complete payments before the deadline.

Student Complaints on Social Media

Several students took to social media platforms to express their frustration. One user tweeted, 'I was unable to get my scanned copy from the previous website. Now when CBSE provided a new website, I tried to get it, but it says Roll No. not found. What's this? Today is the last day. How will I get my copy? Either give me my copy or increase the date.' Another student said, 'I was not able to pay!! CBSE please help.'

Many students also reported being automatically logged out of the portal after filling in details and proceeding to payment. 'A lot of students are unable to log in to the re-evaluation portal past 11:00 PM. A lot of students who filled out everything and proceeded to pay were automatically logged out and their progress was lost, now they aren't able to log back in,' a user posted.

Board's Response

In a tweet on 8 June, CBSE HQ stated, 'The Application Window for Verification and Re-evaluation remained fully functional throughout the notified period from 2 June 2026 to 7 June 2026 under the supervision and management of government technical agencies and teams from the IITs.' The board emphasized that the portal was managed by technical experts and remained operational without interruption.

Despite the board's assurance, many students claimed they still had not received their answer sheets even after the deadline. One student tweeted, 'Then what is this? Still now I haven't got my answer sheet #cbse.' The issue has sparked widespread debate, with calls for an extension of the application deadline to accommodate affected students.

Impact on Students

The glitches have caused significant anxiety among students who were relying on the revaluation process to improve their scores. With the portal now closed, those who faced technical issues may have lost the opportunity to apply. Some students have urged the board to reopen the portal or extend the deadline to ensure fairness.

The CBSE has not yet announced any extension or alternative arrangement for affected students. Meanwhile, the board continues to defend the portal's performance, citing the large number of successful applications as evidence of its functionality.
