The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the provisional answer keys, question papers, and recorded responses for the Graduate Aptitude Test-Biotechnology (GAT-B) and Biotechnology Eligibility Test (BET) 2026. Candidates who appeared for these examinations can now access the documents on the official GAT-B and BET portal and submit objections against the provisional keys within the prescribed deadline.
Examination Details
The computer-based tests were conducted on May 17, 2026, across 54 cities at 79 examination centres. According to the official notice, a total of 26,662 candidates had registered for the entrance tests. NTA has allowed candidates to challenge the provisional answer keys by paying a non-refundable processing fee of Rs 200 per question.
Challenge Window and Payment Deadline
The answer key challenge facility for both GAT-B and BET 2026 opened on May 23, 2026, and will remain available until May 24, 2026, up to 11:50 PM. Candidates must complete the payment process within the same deadline using debit card, credit card, net banking, or UPI modes. NTA has stated that no challenge will be accepted without payment of the prescribed fee. Challenges submitted through any mode other than the official online portal will not be considered.
Steps to Challenge Answer Keys
Candidates have been instructed to visit the official website and click on the 'Challenge(s) regarding Answer Key' link. After logging in with their application number and password, candidates can view the question paper, recorded responses, and provisional answer key. To raise objections, candidates need to select the relevant option IDs, upload supporting documents in a single PDF file of up to 500 KB, and submit claims before payment. The agency has advised candidates to review claims carefully since no modification will be permitted after successful payment.
Final Evaluation Process
NTA has said that all objections will be examined by subject experts. If any challenge is found valid, the answer key will be revised and applied uniformly to all candidates before the preparation of the final result.
