GSHSEB Introduces Online Approval System for Private School Expansion
GSHSEB Online Approval System for Private School Expansion

The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) has launched a new online approval system for private schools seeking permission to establish additional classes, sections, or sequential higher classes for the academic year beginning in June 2026.

Application Process and Timeline

According to the board, schools can submit their applications through the dedicated online portal from May 1 to July 15. Institutions planning to expand their academic offerings must complete the registration process on the board's official website. After successful registration, schools will receive login credentials, including a user ID and password, on their registered email addresses to enable them to fill in the required application details.

Application Fee and Guidelines

The board has fixed an application fee of Rs 15,000 per class, which must be paid during the submission process. Schools have also been advised to carefully read all instructions and guidelines available on the website before filing their applications. Officials stated that applications containing discrepancies, incomplete details, or errors in supporting documents will be rejected without prior notice.

Objective of the New System

The board emphasized that this move is aimed at ensuring greater transparency and efficiency in granting approvals. By digitizing the process, GSHSEB intends to streamline the application review and reduce manual errors. This initiative is expected to benefit both the board and the schools by making the procedure more straightforward and accessible.

Schools are encouraged to prepare their documentation in advance and adhere to the specified timelines to avoid any last-minute issues. The online portal is designed to handle all aspects of the application, from submission to tracking the status, providing a seamless experience for educational institutions.
