The Haryana Board of School Education (HBSE) has announced the results for the Class XII examinations for the academic year 2023-24. In a remarkable display of academic excellence, female students have secured the top three positions in the state. The overall pass percentage stands at 87.12%, reflecting a slight improvement compared to the previous year.
Top Performers
Topper, Muskan, hailing from Sirsa district, has scored an impressive 98.6% marks. She is followed by Priyanka from Hisar with 98.2%, and in third place is Suman from Rohtak with 97.8%. All three top positions have been bagged by girls, highlighting the continued academic prowess of female students in the state.
Stream-wise Analysis
In the Science stream, the pass percentage was highest at 91.3%, followed by Commerce at 88.5%, and Arts at 84.2%. The number of students who scored above 90% has increased by 5% compared to last year, indicating a positive trend in high achievement.
District Performance
Among districts, Panchkula recorded the highest pass percentage at 94.1%, while Mewat recorded the lowest at 79.8%. The board has also noted that rural areas have shown a significant improvement of 3% in pass percentage over the previous year.
The HBSE chairman congratulated all successful students and encouraged those who did not perform as expected to work harder in the future. The board has also made arrangements for re-evaluation and compartment exams for students who wish to improve their scores.
