The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) announced the Class 10 board examination results on Thursday, recording a pass percentage of 95.27%. This marks a nearly four percent increase compared to the previous year. A total of 4,22,109 students appeared for the examination, out of which 4,02,178 successfully passed. Among them, 2,15,066 were girls and 1,87,112 were boys. The pass percentage for girls stood at 95.51%, while boys achieved 95.01%.
District-Wise Performance
Gumla district emerged as the top performer with a pass percentage of 99.32%, followed by Dumka at 99.02% and Pakur at 98.56%. The top three districts demonstrated exceptional academic performance.
State Toppers
Twelve students were declared joint toppers, with four students each securing identical marks in the first, second, and third categories. The state toppers hailed from Hazaribag, Simdega, and Ranchi districts.
Officials' Remarks
JAC chairman Natwa Hansdak congratulated the students and emphasized that the results were announced on time and were error-free. He acknowledged the coordinated efforts of district education authorities, principals, and examination staff in ensuring a smooth and transparent examination process. "Education is a continuous process, and every effort one puts today will lay a solid foundation for future success. Students who have been placed under marginal or absent categories must utilize upcoming academic opportunities and work consistently for improvement," he said.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren took to X to congratulate all successful students. "Those who could not achieve results as per their expectations should not get disheartened and should move on and put in more efforts in the future. The state government is continuously striving to ensure quality education for everyone," he posted.
Jharkhand Education Project Council (JEPC) director Shashi Ranjan attributed the improved results to focused interventions introduced by the education department across the state. "Special emphasis was laid on districts where learning outcomes had been lagging. We strengthened structured lesson plans, conducted regular remedial classes, and ensured periodic assessments to closely track student progress. This consistent, data-driven approach has played a key role in improving overall academic performance," he explained.
