JEE Advanced 2026 Dress Code and Exam Centre Guidelines Released

The Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) have released the official dress code and exam centre guidelines for JEE Advanced 2026. Candidates appearing for the examination must adhere to the specified dress code to ensure a smooth entry into the exam hall. The guidelines apply to both male and female students.

Dress Code for Male Students

Male candidates are required to wear light-coloured clothes such as a shirt or T-shirt with a collar, trousers, and slippers or sandals. Shoes are not permitted. Additionally, they should avoid wearing any metallic items, belts, or accessories.

Dress Code for Female Students

Female candidates must wear light-coloured clothes like a salwar kameez, kurta with leggings, or a top with jeans. They should wear slippers or sandals, not shoes. Avoid wearing jewellery, bangles, or any metallic ornaments.

Exam Centre Guidelines

All candidates must carry their admit card and a valid photo ID proof. They should report to the exam centre at least one hour before the scheduled time. Items such as mobile phones, calculators, watches, and electronic gadgets are strictly prohibited. Candidates will be subjected to frisking and security checks.
