The Manipur Board has officially declared the results for the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) Examination 2026 on May 8. Along with the results, the board has issued detailed instructions regarding re-scrutiny of answer scripts and options available for unsuccessful students.
Re-scrutiny Process
Students who are not satisfied with their marks can apply for re-scrutiny of their answer scripts. The application window is open from May 11 to May 25, 2026. The fee for re-scrutiny is Rs 2100 per subject, and this fee is non-refundable. The board has clearly stated that re-scrutiny does not mean re-evaluation or re-examination. It only involves checking the evaluated scripts as per the existing rules to ensure no errors in totaling or marking.
Compartment Examination
For students who have failed in one or two subjects, the board provides a compartment examination. This gives them a second chance to clear the subject without having to repeat the entire academic year. The compartment exams are usually held in the mid-year session, and results are declared shortly after. This allows students to continue to the next class without losing a year.
Re-admission Provision
Students who do not clear the examination also have a re-admission provision. Unsuccessful candidates of HSLC 2026 can be re-admitted to Class 10 in their respective schools within 45 days of the result declaration if they wish to appear again in the HSLC 2027 examination. Schools will then forward the list of such students to the board within 60 days, and internal marks will be recorded accordingly.
How to Check Results
Students can check their results via the direct link provided on the board's official website. Additionally, results for other boards such as Maharashtra Board SSC Result 2026 and WBBSE Madhyamik Result 2026 are also available.
