The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has announced that the NEET MDS 2026 examination will be conducted on May 2, 2026. All aspiring candidates must adhere to the prescribed exam day guidelines, dress code, and key instructions to ensure a smooth and fair examination process.

Exam Day Guidelines

Candidates are required to report to the examination center at least one hour before the scheduled start time. Latecomers will not be permitted to enter the exam hall. It is mandatory to carry the admit card along with a valid photo ID proof. Electronic devices, including mobile phones, smartwatches, and calculators, are strictly prohibited inside the examination hall.

Dress Code

The dress code for NEET MDS 2026 is designed to prevent unfair practices. Candidates must wear light-colored, simple clothing without any pockets or elaborate embroidery. Footwear should be open-toed slippers or sandals; shoes are not allowed. Candidates wearing traditional attire such as kurta-pajama or salwar-kameez must ensure they are simple and without pockets.

Key Instructions

  • Admit Card: Download and take a printout of the admit card from the official NBEMS website. Ensure all details are correct.
  • Photo ID: Carry a government-issued photo ID (Aadhaar, Passport, Voter ID, etc.) in original.
  • Prohibited Items: Do not bring any electronic gadgets, bags, or study materials. Violation may lead to disqualification.
  • Biometrics: Candidates will undergo fingerprint scanning and photograph verification at the center.
  • Seating: Seats are allocated randomly; candidates must occupy the assigned seat only.
  • Exam Duration: The exam is of 3 hours duration. No extra time will be provided.
